Root Tabs!! Great for those heavy root feeders

    Brightwell Rio Cafe-XF

We use Brightwell soil in house and always suggest Brightwell as a great choice for caridina shrimp substrate. This substrate is best used with RO water and minerals such as SaltyBee GH+. Brightwell Rio Cafe is a light brown soil that buffers the water around 5.8 pH. It does not release ammonia like ADA Amazonia soil, so you can add inhabitants sooner. We suggest this soil for use in caridina shrimp tanks, and any inhabitant that enjoys soft water/ low pH environments.

This is extra fine grain size, and the 2lb bag is perfect for tanks 10g or smaller. In a 10 gallon aquarium, it will be a thin layer, but unless you're planning on also planting, a thin layer is great for shrimp tanks!

    Best substrate !!

I have used several different types of substrate and I absolutely love this one. There is no dust, the color is perfect for my darker color shrimp. It doesn't leech ammonia for a quicker cycling time. Highly recommend!!
