Curly pods will add some fun depth to your aqua scape. These curly seed pods sink to the bottom, creating a safe haven for fry and shrimp to forage. Like most botanicals, these will release a certain amount of tannins, and boiling/soaking for longer will release more.

Slow boil your curly pods for approximately 30-45 minutes (or until they sink) and allow to cool in fresh, cold-room temperature water for a few hours before adding to your aquarium. This allows any residual organics to come off before adding to your tank.
