Our aquarium botanicals package includes a small portion of a variety of botanicals. Not all packages are the exact same, but there is always at least 3 ounces in each pack. Its a great variety pack that will add lots of benefits to your aquarium, whether it be aesthetics, or the tannic acids to promote the health of the aquarium. This package can contain: Lotus Pod, Shrimp Churros, Casurina Cones, Alder Cones, crushed Indian Almond Leaf, Arjun Pods, Pear Pods, Kachnar Tree Pods, Lafi Pods, Dregea Pods, Para Para Pods, Parviflora Pods, Coco Curls, Banana Stems, and Coco Flowers.
Botanicals are highly beneficial to nature aquariums. Aside from just looking amazing, botanicals have many benefits for your livestock. These botanicals will provide hiding places for fry and invertebrates, bio film to graze on, and tannic and humic acids to provide a healthy aquarium. All of these things are important to maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
Preparation: We recommend boiling or steeping all your botanicals for at least 30 minutes (or longer if needed to sink) and soaking for a 2nd time in cold water, to allow them to cool down before placing in your aquarium. Do not add all botanicals at once.
