Neocaridina Davidi is a freshwater aquarium shrimp native to Taiwan. These adorable little shrimp are found in the wild with quite dull coloring that helps them hide in nature. In the aquarium hobby, we have selectively bred this for generations, coming up with a wide range of colors, and a couple different patterns even! Most colors include the standard Red Cherry shrimp, Blue Dream shrimp, Green Jade shrimp, Yellow Goldenbacks, Black Rose, and Orange Sakura. Most of these patterns have a rili variation, which is a clear section around its abdomen area, with the head and tail still colored in. There are many different names for these color variations, but they are all of the same species of freshwater shrimp!
