Neocaridina shrimp are adaptable to many water types, so you don't necessarily have to use RO filtered water and special soils. Typically do well in standard tap/well water, room temperature, low tech aquariums. Neocaridina shrimp come in many colors, but not too many patterns, other than the rili pattern.
